Gift Tags

Good morning lovelies! Hope you all have exciting plans for the weekend, I plan to pack up some of my craft supplies I'm not going to be using in the next little while, and pack up some clothes I don't wear any more that I can either sell or donate. I also have to work, like every other weekend.

Last week, while I wasn't working, and after my trip, I worked on some gift tags. I wanted to use up some of my scraps in a new way (besides the same old cards), so I made a TON of gift tags. They'll be going to the shop when it opens.

First up, I made these with opposite rounded corner. I love this shape!

Then I made some traditional tag shaped tags using the same papers.

I also made some pink chevron tags. These are among my favourites!

Floral tags, I love the colours of this.

These were made to look like the hello darling card I made a few weeks ago, inspired by Project Life.

Love this shade of blue, or teal. However you want to look at it.

These were supposed to be light blue chevron, but I didn't realize until afterwards that I cut them the wrong way. Simply a crafter problem.

These ones were made using the scraps from the paper for my coasters. They're so elegant looking.

This was made with a paper from the rainbow set, I just cut it the opposite way.

Orange is becoming my new favourite colour!

A piece of scrap paper from the bottom of my box. I've used it on numerous cards, and I love the variety of colours in it.

When the shop opens, I'll be sure to inform all of you! I'd also love to see any of your crafty projects.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Warhammer Congratulations

In my Calgary Trip Recap post, I mentioned my friend Terri. This post is also going to be about Terri (sort of). A few weeks ago, Terri was part of a competition to become a part of the Geek and Sundry Vlog on Youtube. This was a huge deal for her, and Jon and I are so proud of her for making it onto their channel!

To congratulate her, I made her this card (which she raved about on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram). I cut the image from a White Dwarf (Warhammer magazine), and used up a scrap of orange paper to match.

I cut the image into a square and cut it in four. Then I adhered it to white cardstock, and adhered them to the card.

I used my Martha Stewart congratulations stamp, and adhered it with foam squares. The string wraps around the card and ties under the congratulations.

I also made her a bookmark to match (sort of), since I'm sure she'll be doing a lot of reading.

Have a wonderful day!

Washitape Wednesday

Another Washitape Wednesday, hooray!

This week, I decided to keep it simple, and use a tape combination I've used before.

I made a pretty thank you card, okay I made five of them.

I used a combination of stamps that I've previously used as well. I love that they look like they belong together, but they come from totally different sets.

The bottom tape doesn't exactly match, I picked one more red than pink, but from a distance you can hardly tell the difference!

I used my new lace punch on the edge to make it prettier!

Hope you all have a wonderful Washitape Wednesday. Don't forget to submit your projects to Tiffany over at Crafting a Fairytale

Michaels Haul #3

Good morning lovelies! Today I'm going to share everything I picked up when I was in Calgary. Let me just say I picked up A LOT of things. I spent close to $1200.00 throughout the whole trip, which is a little crazy, but totally worth it.

First up, the movies I picked up at HMV in Cross Iron Mills Mall. All of these were 2 for ___ deals. So I ended up with more than I had intended, but I can't wait to watch them!

I went to a little stationery and party supply shop in Calgary called Reid's and picked up these adorable note cards. I bought them simply because Jon wanted the tin, but I love them just the same! I can't wait to use them.

I went to Staples and picked up some dividers for my stamp binder so that I can hopefully group some of the same stamps together (birthday, christmas, etc.) and hopefully not have to separate the sets.

I picked up some Trading Card Pages to put my smaller stamp sets into. (The individual acrylic stamps from Studio G)

I also picked up some four and two pocket page protectors for larger stamps.

When we were in Target I picked up these baskets for my bathroom. I had intended to leave them with the cabinet when I moved out, but now I want to find something else to put in that place, and take these with me. They'd be great for storing all my Project Life cards in!

We also went to the book store. I've always wanted to read the hunger games, so I picked those up, and the third book to the Beautiful Creatures series. I also picked up two new day planners, one for personal/project life and the second for my mail/penpals.

Here's the things Jon picked up (minus the book). I bought him the Keep Calm & Carry On day planner, and he picked up all the board games. We now own all the Smallworld and expansions, Pandemic and the new Tsuro. Which we played while at his friends store. We've also played a lot of Pandemic since getting home. So much fun!

Next we move onto my Michaels haul. Here's the things in bags (minus two more washitape holders).

The other item not in a bag, was my Silhouette Cameo. Which I'm so excited about! I can't wait until I actually have time to use it and start on my Christmas cards and a couple of Christmas card orders I have.

I couldn't resist these two paper stacks. I fell in love as soon as I started flipping through them. I really don't need any more paper, but I couldn't resist. At this rate my paper shelf will be full by the time I move.

I also picked up this paper stack because I love the colours!

I was so excited about the 5th & Frolic Edition of Project Life. It's so pretty! I was hoping to get a mini album as well, but couldn't find a single one at the Michaels I was in.

I also picked up the Vintage Travel Edition of Project Life.

I needed 3 sets of Washitape dispensers. But could only get two.

I picked up some My Mind's Eye 6 x 6" paper stacks.

I picked up some more Zots, and Mustache Duck Tape. I'm not sure what I'll use it for yet, but I'm sure I'll think of something!

I love making cookies (though I don't very often). Now I can make Anchor & Sailboat cookies, or maybe I'll put them into a random act of kindness, or a giveaway.

I love twine. I picked up this package because of all the different colours!

I picked up some stamps. all the bottom ones came from the sale bin and will be going to penpals.

I've always wanted to make cards with Kraft paper, so I picked up these card and envelope sets.

I picked up these sticky note and tab sets from the sale bin. I grabbed one of each design.

Burlap flowers. One day I want to make my own.

Since I've been making a lot of tags I picked up a TON more eyelets.

My other craft knife broke, so I picked up this Martha Stewart craft knife. I still have replacement blades if anyone can use them I'd be happy to send them to you! Just comment with your e-mail and I'll send you a picture of the knife/blades.

I've seen this punch used for those accordion paper flowers, and I can't wait to use it for that, and other things of course.

I also picked up a Doily Lace punch! It's so pretty.

My Mind's Eye chipboard stickers. I can't wait to use these!

I also picked up more stickers for my niece. She loves all these characters, and I love the smile she gets when I hand her a strip of stickers.

Did I ever talk about how much I love owls? Love these stickers.

I did some hunting scrapbook layouts for Jon's dad in April, so I picked up more stickers to do more pages for him to hang in the Trophy Room.

Picked these up for a penpal. I love them so much I might pick up a couple for myself.

I picked up a few other things for penpals, and Heidi Swapp tags that I'm not sure what I'll use for yet.

Stickers for penpals, and making pretty envelopes and whatever I feel like using them for!

That concludes my largest shopping haul to date. I even have the longest receipt from any Michaels trip. I spent almost $900.00 at Michaels. It would have been on par with the other ones, had I not bought the Silhouette.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!
