Project Life: Week Forty-Four

Good morning! Today I'm sharing my spread for Week 45. I'm slowly getting caught up to where we're at week wise. So excited to be getting closer to December and being able to start making some pretty Christmas pages. I've been watching Nicole Jones' December Daily videos on Youtube (here), and it's making me excited, and inspired to do some December pages in my regular album. She usually does traditional pages, so I'm pretty excited to see her using Project Life!

Here's the first half of the spread. I'm trying to use cards from my stash a little more, and I didn't have any blue/green cards in my collection of Studio Calico cards, so instead I've used Strawberry for this week.

Here's the left side. We started the week with some terrible news about one of Jon's Warhammer friends. I journaled a little about it on the card next to "The Happiness Pursuit" (which was really good), but I didn't do too much detail about it since I didn't know him well. On the next half of this week I have a spot that I want Jon to journal a bit about his friend, and I'll hide it for him to look at later on. I'm well over half done my reading challenge, so I included that because I didn't think there was any way that I'd get past 20 books, but I made it past 20, and I'm so proud of myself. The bottom right photo is Gracie sleeping on Jon's back. It was so cute, and they both looked so comfortable.

Here's the right side. My messy desk, quiet time with Tori because she asked me "Auntie, can we go have quiet time in your room?" of course I said yes, and so we watched half of an episode of Mia & Me, and downloaded a couple of games for her.

Here's the second half of this spread. This half of the week was some happy mail, sympathy cards, and a trip to the city for the funeral. We caught a pretty sunset on the way up, got our hotel room upgraded for free, had amazing room service, and saw some friends we haven't seen in a while.

Here's the left side. I used more strawberry because I wanted it to be cohesive from one week into the next. I included a photo of the sympathy cards I made, my happy mail from Freckled Fawn. That beautiful sunset, and the wonderful hotel bed! This week we got some complimentary chocolates from a local business that did a lot of work for us, they made two signs, and a 5 piece mural for the restaurant. Not to mention all the other work we asked them to do, and to thank us for our business, they had custom chocolates made for us. It was wonderful, and they were delicious!

A couple more photos of the hotel, one of the Warhammer portion of the memorial, our room service, and the little book from the funeral. Behind it is where I want to put a journaling card for Jon to write some things down.

Thanks for coming by to see this weeks spread.
Have a great day!

Project Life: Week Twenty-Six & End of First Album

Good morning! Today I'm sharing week 26, and what I did for the last page of my first album. At the start of the year, I thought I could squeeze the whole year into on album (this was my first year doing project life) but by week 15 I was fairly certain that it'd take two. Lately, most of my layouts have been more than two page spreads, so I was lucky to squeeze week 26 into the first album, and have an equally divided year.

This week I did three double page spreads. Here's the first one. I used cards from Maggie Holmesedition, MAggie Holmes Styleboard, Blush, and Studio Calico.

Here's the left side. We celebrated my mom's and my uncle's birthdays with my Grandma. My niece blew out the candles (of course). I used Dear Lizzy navy polkadot thickers for the title.

Here's the right side. I included my messy desk, and a collage of photos my niece took while we were playing outside.

Here's the second two page spread. I used cards from Studio Calico, Azure, Maggie Holmes Styleboard, and Dear Lizzy Daydreamer.

Here's the left side. We were so excited about our new patio furniture. Jon and my sister did most of the assembly, which was super nice!

Here's the right side. I helped Jon work on some terrain for Out of the Basement. I also got the first coat of paint on my desk (which looks amazing).

Here's the third one. I used coral, strawberry, and azure.

Here's the left side. This side was all of Jon's painting for the week.

Here's the right side. IT was a bit of painting and some gardening we did before my mom's birthday.

For the last page of this album, I chose to include this 12x12 sheet of paper from the Maggie Holmes paperstack. I feel like it perfectly describes why I'm doing project life. Currently it's in a 12x12 page protector taped to the last page of week 26. I'm considering cutting it up, but I like the way this looks.

How did you divide your first and second album of the year? Did you keep your year to one album? If so, how?

Have a great day! On Friday I'll be sharing my latest Scrapbookers Inner Circle Haul.

Project Life: Week Nineteen

Happy Friday! Today is my last official day of work. Long story short, work is closing temporarily for some major renovations, so I basically have the summer off. They're keeping 9 hotel rooms open because they were unaffected, so I'll be doing the laundry from those at my house, but the rest of the building will be shut down for 3-4 months. I know that I shouldn't be excited about it, but I am because it means I can be crafty all day every day, take spontaneous trips with Jon, try some of those Pinterest recipes that I've been pinning for the last year or so. It's exciting stuff.

Anyways. Here's week nineteen.

This week I used some of my new Strawberry edition, Maggie Holmes, Dear Lizzy Neapolitan, Amy Tangerine Cut & Paste and Studio Calico.

Here's the left side. This week I made Pink Lemonade cupcakes, I'll share the recipe on Monday. On the top right pocket, I trimmed down the 'not my day' clear card from the Studio Calico April kit. I had a particularly bad day with a customer complaining about stupid little things, and so I included my Facebook status and some journaling about the incident.

I put some white thickets onto this card to imply working everyday. I didn't quite work every day this week, but between Jon and I, we've been working everyday.

This week I got more happy mail, so I included a bit of that in my layout. Jon went to a tournament so he sent me a couple of photos to put in the album.

I don't always include text messages, but my sister and I had a kind of funny conversation, so I made another flip pocket to include our conversation.

I made this flip pocket the same as the one from week eighteen, I just included two photos in the front pocket.

There you have my week nineteen!

Have a great weekend!
