December Daily | Days 15-21

I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of 2015. It feels like just yesterday the year was starting, and now we're all making plans for another year. Today I'm sharing the third part of my December Daily album.

I decided that I wanted to finish day 14 off with another large quote. I already did the other side of the page, so I made sure to choose one that would look okay being cut in half. I added the "favourite holiday" banner between "the" and "magic" so it reads "bring on the favorite holiday magic" (even though favourite is spelled wrong).

Day 15; I went with my parents to my niece/sisters school Christmas program. No photos, but used the December release of Kellie Stamps (here) to create the merry & bright card, and the title for my journaling. I punched holes in the program and included it as an insert.

Day 16; I documented the advent Calendar that I bought Jon. We both loved it. So much better than the cheap chocolate advent calendars my parents bought me as kids. Plus this one is calorie free and won't make you fat.

Day 17; I visited my niece and nephew. My niece and I made little paper snowmen using the paper tube from a roll of wrapping paper and we cut each snowman to a different size to represent her family members. My nephew "read" me a book about colours. He's adorable and basically just turned the pages and made the noise he makes when he sees the kitty.

The top left card was a flip pocket so I could include some journaling, and a photo of the two of them by the Christmas tree.

I printed out this paper from the digital December Daily main kit and cut it with the silhouette to match my other divider. I added a wood veneer from Color Cast Designs to the front and called it done.

Day 18; The back of the divider, and a 2x2 pocket page for an "around here" layout.

I stamped little 2x2 pieces of white cardstock with StazOn and then embossed silver stars so I had somewhere to include my journaling. I stamped an arrow to show it goes to the right and around the outside of the page (though the journaling kind of describes the photo so you know what goes with what.

I repeated the same idea on the back of the page. The right side is a flip out page. I adhered the "Merry happy everything" paper to the back of a photo, and added a glitter chipboard heart.

Inside the flip page is a TON of things from my Pinterest Christmas board, and 2 3x4 pockets (just cut the 4 pocket 3x4 in half)

The number is adhered to a clear piece of plastic, and the journaling card is from a past December Daily kit.

Day 20 & 21; I adhered a full page photo onto the back of the flip out page and journaled straight on the photo. The right side was about Christmas music. I added an ornament from Color Cast Designs to the top right pocket.

The card with the "21" on it flips open to reveal some journaling. The see-through "jolly" piece is a tag from I Heart Studio's Heartfelt Christmas 1. It was a tag (like the star at the bottom) but I cut off the top and bottom to fit it into the 2x2 pocket.

Thanks so much for coming by to see these pages. I'll be the first to admit that the photos were rushed and not as good as the first two parts of the album, but I'll also admit that this is the holidays and we all have a lot going on, but I promised that I'd share more of it before the end of the year, so I'm sure it won't matter as much.

I'll be back on the 1st sharing the last of my One Little Word pages for 2015, and my word for 2016. The rest of my December Daily will be shared in the new year. Which is a little crazy to say. I hope you all have a wonderful day, and a Happy New Year. I'll see you all in 2016.

Project Life | Week 44

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was full of food, family, and some great times. It was so wonderful to have a bit of time off. We have some friends staying with us for the next few days, so this post, and the next two will be scheduled posts. I don't want to have to leave them by themselves while I go off and work on the blog (though they're totally awesome and would let me). Today I'm sharing Week 44 and on Wednesday I'll be sharing days 15-21 of my December Daily album, then Wednesday next week I'll share the last part of my December Daily album.

Here's the left side. This was when I began my December Daily prep in a more serious way. Wilna sent me some of her beautiful Christmas files, and I die cut some of her tags from her Christmas release last year, and sent those in the form of a RAK to Kristie. I also won a giveaway on Instagram this week.

Here's the right side. Included a photo of both cats for National Cat day, started a little 4x4 Christmas album. I made the cover, and put an idea in my head, but that's as far as I've gotten. We'll see if anything else happens.

Thanks for coming by to see this spread. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Project Life | Week 43

I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Today we have our staff Christmas lunch, and then some time to do last minute things before the beginning of our Christmas festivities. Today I'm sharing Week 43.
The stamp I used for my title is a set from Kellie Stamps that's no longer available, but this set from Kelly Purkey is similar.

Here's the right side. I love the sky photo! I had some creative time and snapped a photo of my messy desk, started prepping a few things for December Daily, and visited my niece and nephew.

Thanks for coming by to see this spread. I'll see you all after Christmas. I hope you all enjoy your Christmas!

Project Life | Week 42

Today I'm sharing Week 42. On Wednesday I'm sharing Week 43 and then taking a bit of time off to enjoy Christmas. I'm so excited for Turkey, family, and the magic of Christmas.

Here's the left side. I just realized that I never shared the fall mini album I made during this week. Putting a note in my planner to do it sometime in January.

Here's the right side. I used a couple of sneak peek photos to document two spreads, and finally finishing off my Dauphin album. This was a very crafty week!

Thanks for coming by to see this quick post about this spread.
Have a great day!

December Daily | Days 8-14

Today I'm sharing days 8-14 of my December Daily album with all of you (so like 2 people). You can find days 1-7 (here) along with a list of supplies that I've been using throughout my album.

Day 8; I managed to get my Christmas cards done back in September (or October) so all I had to do today was sit down and stamp a sentiment inside, and fill them out so we could deliver a few while we were in the city.

Day 9; We drove to the city to see the Zoo Lights. A pre-trip selfie (of course). We don't like Starbucks, so I snapped a photo of our Tim Hortons, While stopped in traffic I snapped a photo of the Calgary Tower, and journaled a bit right on the photo.

I have yet to find a white pen that I like for writing on photos, but my Uniball works okay enough that I can generally still read it, so I keep using it. On the right, I accidentally burnt a few of my white embossed stars, but still love how it looks. I used a "bring on the twinkle" stamp from the 2014 Ali Edwards kit, but covered the twinkle portion and used the twinkle card.

Another flip pocket of course. Is it obvious that I'm addicted to making them?
Day 9 & 10; the left side is the last of day 9. We took a photo at the zoo with our friends kid who was so excited to be hanging out with us and at the zoo. The right side is a flip pocket with journaling for day 10.

This is possibly the coolest thing I've ever made. The paper is from the 2015 Digital December Daily kit by Ali Edwards. I'd previously been playing around in photoshop with cropping some of the 6x8 papers into 3x8 because I didn't think I'd use that many full 6x8 pages. So I had a 3x8 of this paper (between the slight gold strip on the left and the circle star) and another I'd printed in 6x8.
When I adhered the 6x8 paper to the photo on the other side, I was trying to figure out how to add my journaling. I created a 3x8 piece in photoshop and adhered it to the back of the 3x8 of the tree paper and adhered them on top of the 6x8 piece to create a flip up. When it's flipped down they line up, and when it flips up you can read the journaling and still see the paper. After I did this, I thought "why didn't I just think of doing this before and cut the 6x8 to flip up". Oh well. I love how it turned out and unless you're looking for it, you might not see the journaling, which is fine.

On the other side of the tree paper is a large photo. I love how this photo turned out. I blew it up to 12x8 and then cropped it into separate 6x8 pieces so I could print it out. I added a tag from this free set to the top right corner.

Day 11; I adhered the paper on the left to the back of the photo. I made the envelope for day 11 from some vellum, and added a doily and pattern paper to the inside. I painted the number 11 gold and added a star clip to hold my journaling inside.
Typed journaling, and green embossing powder. Simple and done.
Day 12; On the back of the envelope I added a journaling card I made using Kellie Stamps MAGIC set (here) and the other half of the doily. For the right side, I scanned the chipboard wonky circle piece from the 2014 kit and made a cutfile from it. I knew the chipboard would be too thick for my album, but wanted to include it anyways. I cut two and adhered them back to back after adding various papers and embellishments a couple spots of short journaling.

Day 12 & 13; The left is the remainder of day 12. The right is day 13. I love that photo of our tree. It's so beautiful. I journaled about being excited about having most of the gifts wrapped, and being able to simply enjoy the twinkling lights.

I painted the number 13 with gesso, and when I flipped it over to put adhesive on the back, the paint wasn't completely dry and some of it peeled off. I love how it looks so I just left it.
Day 14; A photo of Gracie cut in half to fit into the 3x4 pockets. I love adhering the wood numbers to the centre of the page. I also love those journaling cards from Wilna. On the right is the beginning of my foundation pages for the rest of the year. Lots of post it notes and numbers to mark the space I've set aside for each day. That divider I made might be moved. I used a digital paper from Ali Edwards' main kit and a cutfile from Wilna to create this divider, and one that's coming up later on in my album.

Thank you all for coming by to see my December Daily so far. Next week is two Project Life Spreads (on Monday & Wednesday) and then I'm taking a break to enjoy the holidays with my family. I'll be back sharing on the 28th of December. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll be sharing more December Daily in the new year.
