Week In The Life | Sunday

Today I'm sharing the final round of pages from my 2015 album. I love how this whole album turned out, and Jon's flipped through it and he loves it too, though he didn't notice some of the little details and things. That's completely okay with me. It means that he's likely to flip through it again and look for those little things I've pointed out to him.

One of my favourite things that I did in this album, was adding the numbers here and there. Here I added a 9 because I woke up at 9. I wanted to use the numbers wherever possible, and this was the perfect way. I used every single number and I'm so proud of myself!

The yellow labels were a little harder for me to use up, but I used more than I thought I would. The one on the bottom left photo says "love this".

I used A LOT of the gold and cream perforated strips throughout. I love that they're small and just a simple way to add a little extra something to a photo. This photo is super dark, but lighter in person. It's gracie curled up on the bed with me.

To finish off the album, I printed this quote from one of Ali Edwards' #givesunday posts. I thought I would just end it there, but then I grabbed some stamps and these little 2x2 squares from Studio Calcio that have been in my stash since last year sometime, and created a little see-through page for the back. I love that you don't even have to flip that page, everything is readable from the front, and just ends the album with a bit of colour.

As you can see, my album refuses to stay closed. It's so incredibly full, but I'm so happy with it. I know Ali mentioned in one of her posts that they should make the spine larger for the next kit. I agree. My album is PACKED and has literally no space left for anything.

Originally, my daily review cards (the front of the 3x8 pockets) were going to have the wood veneers from the kit on them, but they made the album too thick before I even added anything to it, so I removed them and stamped the days instead. I'm happy with how it looks, but really loved the veneers. Maybe next year!

Thank you for coming to check out my Week in the Life album. This was my first year doing it, and I enjoyed it so much, but now I'm nervous about doing December Daily. Maybe I'll have to limit myself to one two page spread for each day, or even less than that so it all fits into one 6x8 album. I've also been considering doing a 4x4 album for Christmas. We'll see what happens.

Have a great weekend!

Week In The Life | Saturday

So close to being finished with this album. I hope you've enjoyed my pages so far, you can type "Week in the Life" into the search bar to see the other posts about this album.

I took a few less photos this day, but documented more words from today and a few from the rest of the week here. I wasn't concerned if I used a photo that wasn't from that day to document something routine (like showering or going to bed).

On Friday I'm sharing the last round of pages from my album. I've had so much fun with this project and I'm excited to do it again in the spring!

Have a great day!

Week In The Life | Friday

Today I'm sharing my Friday pages from my Week in the Life album. Some of my favourite photos from the entire week were taken on Friday, particularly the rain on the window in both of the 6x8 photos for this day. I also have a 6x8 photo of my sister sleeping that makes me laugh.

The 9 on the "loving it" card is because we woke up at 9. It was nice to sleep in one day this week.

The "top ten" card came in the kit, and I immediately knew I wanted to document the top 10 songs from this week. It fit in here because driving home we heard the top 10 songs. Some of them we heard through most of the trip, and laughed about.

I hadn't planned to print this photo as a 6x8, but I wanted to print the rain photo on the other side at 6x8, so I printed this one larger as well, and my sister thinks it's funny that I love this photo so much.

That's it for Friday. I'll be sharing Saturday pages on Wednesday next week.

Have a great weekend!

Week In The Life | Thursday

Today I'm sharing Thursday of my Week in the Life album. I cut a bunch of photos out of this day because I'm working on a mini album from a previous trip to the zoo, so I only used a couple of photos to document that we went to the zoo.

The kit only came with one weather card, so using the digital kit (here) I printed some extras to put the weather I documented onto. The bottom right card is from Studio Calico.

The "I'm Awesome" card is from Studio Calico.

Thank you for coming by to see my pages. I hope you're enjoying looking at my album so far. I don't have much to say about it. I documented all the words from each day in the spreads, and I don't want to repeat myself. Plus for me, sharing the details of the day isn't as important as how I brought the words and the photos together.

Have a great day. I'll be back on Friday sharing my Friday pages.

Week In The Life | Wednesday

Today I'm sharing a TON of pages that I put in for Wednesday. I took a lot of photos that I wanted to include, and while I did actually edit out A LOT of photos, there were still a lot that went into this spread. I also made a "flip page" to add in a few extra photos, and I'll explain how I made that when I get there.

The right side is the front of my flip out page. You can see the edge of a journaling card that is tucked in behind the front page.
To make this pocket, I cut the top row of 4x6 pockets off a Design A pocket page by Becky Higgins. I punched extra holes so it would fit in the album. I folded it in half along the seam between the two 4x6 pockets (in the center). The top row has 4 3x4 pockets and the bottom has 2 4x6 pockets. When the page is folded in half, the right edge of the pockets don't hit the "spine" of the pocket page (where the holes are) so they don't interfere with the page going on to the rings, and you don't have to worry about trimming and re-sealing anything.

I love that this page allowed me to add extra photos without adding a whole extra page to the album. It made me happy that I could be so creative about it (plus I'd run out of pocket pages with 2 3x4s and 1 4x6).

The grey "chase adventure" card and the "sorry not sorry" cards are from my stash. The other two came in the kit.

*I'm sorry if the top right photo offends anyone. I don't believe in censoring my life, or the photos I take.*

On the right I added in a little glassine pocket from my stash to add in some things from the movies, and an extra photo. The front of the pocket has a "Movie Review" card from Studio Calico. I just glued it to the pocket and added the info and a little perforated strip from the kit.

Here's a glimpse of what's inside the pocket. 2 movie tickets (the four of us went to the movie, and they all gave me their tickets so I can add some to my regular PL as well), the play card from the arcade, and a photo of the prizes Jon and I won for ourselves.

Thank you so much for coming to check out my Wednesday pages. I have never made a mini album (smaller than 12x12 is considered a mini album to me) that didn't have layers and lots of bulk. This might be one of my favourites to day though.

Have a great weekend. I'll be back on Wednesday next week sharing Thursday.

Week In The Life | Tuesday

Today I'm sharing my Tuesday pages of my Week in the Life Album. To check out Monday, and find links to supplies I used that weren't included in the kit you can go here.

The journaling cards in this photo are all old Studio Calico cards from my stash.

The top left card is from my Studio Calico stash.

Thank you for coming by to see my pages for Tuesday. I added pocket pages from my stash because I didn't think my photos would hold up to being touched a bunch when people flip through the album. They added a bit of bulk to the album, but I'd rather have a bit of bulk than have to reprint photos.

I'll be back on Friday sharing my Wednesday pages!
Have a great day

Week In The Life | Monday

Today I'm sharing Monday of my Week in the Life album. I wanted to share this earlier, but I didn't get it done until recently because I kept changing things and taking out things to try and make it thinner, but that didn't work out. If you have questions feel free to leave them in the comments, this has a lot of photos, so I won't throw a ton of words into it.

I stapled some of the plastic numbers to the front cover since I didn't put the year onto the spine of the album.

The little circle symbols are the freebie from THIS Design Essentials release The wood veneers are from my stash, the patterned papers and chipboard heart circle are from the kit.

I used the free digital word art that Ali put up along with some graphics for blogs and Instagram.

The word art on my first photo from each day is from this set by Ali Edwards the stamp on each daily review is from Kellie Stamps (but not currently available).

On the back of each 3x8 pocket I used these stamps  from Ali Edwards, to stamp things that happened during each third of the day. On one photo from each day, I used the remaining numbers to show what time my day started (when it started on the hour, not halfway through).

The Monday card on the top left is available in the same digital set that I used on my first photo for each day (link above).

Thank you so much for coming by to see my photos from Monday. I had so much fun putting this together, and trying to use as much of the kit as I could without making my album too bulky (and clearly failed). I surprised myself with how much of the kit I managed to use on this project, but I'm also so excited that I actually completed the project.

I hope you have a great weekend. I'll be back on Wednesday of next week sharing my Tuesday pages.
