Project Life | Week 21

Today I'm sharing week 21. This was the week that I chose to document Week in the Life, and instead of excluding it from Project Life I chose 1 photo from each day to cover the week.

Left side; I used some grey and gold stickers with the days of the week on the center of each photo. I cut the Sunday-Saturday card on the far left from 4x6 to 3x4. I wrote highlights, on the card next to it I stamped "week in the life" as a simple reminder that this was the week of week in the life.

Right side; more of the same thing I did on the left. I used the Movie Night Stats card to document the only movie I watched during the week.

Thanks for coming by to see my spread. I love that Project Life allows me the freedom to be as simple or as elaborate as I want to. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Kellie Stamps | Can't Stop Won't Stop

Today I'm sharing a layout made using the digital stamp set OBSESSED available now from Kellie Stamps.

When I saw this stamp (even with the typo) I immediately thought about how much we love the silly snapchat face filters. I could literally make a layout of silly snapchats every week.

I sized the photos to 2x2 and offset them so I could stamp the date on the edge. I added some chipboard pieces along the edges as well.

When I see things stamped over and over like this, in my head its just repeating over and over again. Kind of like a mantra, but more like "these faces are hilarious and we'll never stop".

This post is super short because my internet is being really wonky lately so it's taken me longer than usual to get this up. The NEW sets of Kellie Stamps are being released later this month on JULY 27th so mark your calendar and follow Kellie Stamps on Instagram to see what we're up to (here).

Hunting Layout | 6/24

I'm on of those people who love when I can spend an entire week and just crush several layouts in one go, (while doing all the other things I do) but with all the other projects I had going on that I wanted to share first, these layouts that I made back in early May, took a back seat, but I can share them now and I'm so happy to.

I've been trying to play up the backgrounds and keep the embellishments simple. On my personal pages I like a lot of white space, but because I can journal on them, it doesn't feel like a lot of white space. With these layouts I want the photos to shine, but I also want to draw attention to the page in the first place. This particular set of photos were pretty simple so I felt like I could play up the background and let the photos tell the story in their simple way.

I used papers similar to those from a couple of other layouts in this set and stamped some leaves onto the white paper to create a simple pattern.

Thank you for coming by to see this spread. I love being able to play with various textures and papers and not worry about if it looks perfect or not, the people displaying these pages and enjoying them care more about the story the photos tell than the products I used.

Have a great weekend!

#LittleSummerJoy | Prompt 1

Happy Fourth of July to all my American friends. Today I'm excited to tell you that my prompt (Celebrate the Little Things) has gone live over at Little Paper Projects.

It seems unreal that my ideas have been put out into the world in such a big way, and while I'm nervous about it, I'm also excited. Be sure to share your projects on Instagram using either #littlesummerjoy or #littlewinterjoy (whichever season you're documenting).

You can still sign up to receive the PAID portion of the class as well (here). It gives you access to additional content in the form of short video lessons, printables and techniques. Have a wonderful day, I hope you take part in this class and document your summer with us!

#LittleSummerJoy | 2016

Today is the day. The very first day of Little Summer Joy and I'm so excited to be a contributor for this class. My prompt goes live on Monday, but if you go over to Little Paper Projects (here) you can sign up and take part in some pre-class projects like creating a Summer Manifesto and Planning your summer.

You an go (here) and sign up for the PAID portion of the class and have access to additional short video lessons, printables, and new techiques that go along with each prompt. It's not necessary to sign up for the paid portion to have access to the class, however I feel that adding the PAID portion to the free portion will give you many more ideas, techniques and some fun information to add more joy to your summer and your project.

I hope you'll join us in documenting your summer (or winter if you're in the southern hemisphere). It's going to be so much fun!
